A 19thC French Musical Ormolu & Enamel Jewellery Box Modelled as a Grand Piano.
The hinged enamel lid painted with a young woman with a musical instrument within a garden surrounded by cherubs, the underside decorated with deer in a colourful woodland and stream, A jewellery compartment lined with the original velvet next to it a brass engraved lid containing a Swiss spring driven music box. The sides decorated with reticulated floral enamelled work, raised in ormolu legs with small castors. Truly a stunning treasure in immaculate condition, with working a music box with its key. Dated 1880-90 Measurements 17.5cm Long 12.5cm Wide. Condition, The middle enamelled supporting leg wobbles and will need tightening by a professional, overall immaculate, please see the images.
